The Admiral Hotel is a distinguished hospitality establishment located in the heart of Mobile, Alabama, at 251 Government Street. The Admiral Hotel is currently seeking a full-time Night Auditor to join its Guest Services department. This role is integral to the hotel's operational success, requiring an individual who is detail-oriented and passionate about hospitality. The Night Auditor position demands a flexible schedule, typically including weekend and holiday shifts, with hours generally from 11 pm to 7 am. In this role, you will be responsible for the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions that directly impact the hotel's financial health and guest experience. The position merges guest service tasks with accounting duties, ensuring that all postings, billing, and credit transactions are accurately reflected. Night Auditors also act as overnight managers on duty, supervising overnight staff such as housekeepers and maintenance personnel.
This job offers a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of prior hotel guest service experience preferred
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- significant attention to detail

- able to lift items up to 25 lbs

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in hotel or related field preferred
- one year of prior hotel guest service experience preferred
- prior guest relations training
- significant attention to detail
- ability to operate front desk equipment including computer, switchboard, credit card machines
- understanding of basic math skills
- good verbal and guest interaction skills
- ability to collect money and issue change
- ability to work as a cohesive team member and relay information from shift to shift
Job Duties
- Audit, post, and balance daily cashiers work for The Admiral Hotel
- accurately post all room fees, related taxes, and paid services including restaurant, lounge, internet, resort fees to each guest's account daily
- verify all account entries are balanced and settle discrepancies
- ensure hotel billing standards are followed and create detailed financial reports
- reconcile credit card system to daily transactions
- verify cash postings and cashier drops for accuracy
- compile and organize paperwork associated with daily transactions
- greet guests in a professional manner
- complete guest registration and check-out procedures
- answer telephone and transfer calls
- make hotel reservations including changes and cancellations
- follow proper credit card procedures
- maintain accurate bank and use correct vouchers
- respond timely to guest needs and requests
- maintain knowledge of geographical area and local points of interest
- ensure front desk supplies are stocked
- understand emergency procedures and evacuation protocols
- collect payments at check-in and check-out
- adhere to safety and security policies
- maintain professional appearance
- protect proprietary information and company assets
- communicate clearly and professionally
- establish collaborative relationships with team members
- perform all reasonable job duties as requested
