As a prominent player in the hotel industry, HHM Hotels prides itself on maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence. The company employs a diverse team committed to upholding its core values of 'People Are Our Capability', 'Hearts That Serve', 'Only Excellence', 'Stay Nimble', and 'Own It', which collectively foster a dynamic and guest-focused work environment. HHM Hotels offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of its employees.
The Night Auditor position at HHM Hotels represents a critical role in ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of hotel front desk activities during the overnight shift. Employed at an hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00, this role integrates guest service responsibilities with essential bookkeeping duties. Candidates in this position are tasked with balancing daily revenue accounts, conducting nightly audits, and resetting the system to prepare for the next day’s operations. This hybrid role blends accounting accuracy with hands-on guest interaction, making it vital for both financial integrity and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities include performing bookkeeping activities such as reconciling cashiers, auditing credit card transactions, and maintaining precise financial records. In addition, the Night Auditor monitors room availability and handles guest account management using computerized systems. A strong emphasis is placed on preparing and distributing daily financial reports that ensure transparent and timely accounting within the hotel. Alongside these financial duties, the role encompasses typical front desk tasks such as checking guests in and out, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues to maintain high guest satisfaction.
Candidates must be detail-oriented and proficient in computer applications, including Excel and basic arithmetic, to accurately input and update financial data into the BRAINS network. Moreover, the Night Auditor is expected to comply with safety protocols by practicing safe work habits and using any required protective equipment. The position offers a growth trajectory that leads to roles such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, and ultimately Front Office Manager, emphasizing HHM Hotels’ commitment to internal career development.
The work environment requires flexibility with schedules that may include holidays and weekends, and physical demands such as standing for extended periods and occasional lifting. HHM Hotels encourages a proactive approach to workplace challenges and guest service excellence, embodying a culture where employees are empowered to 'Own It' and stay agile in a fast-paced hotel setting.
This role at HHM Hotels not only guarantees competitive wages but also extensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match, daily pay options, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, employees enjoy perks like travel discounts, commuter benefits, an employee assistance program, and a referral bonus scheme, ensuring a rewarding and supportive employment experience within the hospitality sector.
