The Night Auditor role at Maya Hotels is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift while managing all financial activities that occur throughout the night. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in front office operations or night audit roles desirable
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic proficiency with hotel management software and accounting principles
- Ability to handle cash securely and accurately
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift items up to 25lbs

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional education in accounting or hospitality preferred
- Previous experience in front office operations or night audit roles desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Proficiency in computer systems, hotel property management software, and basic accounting principles
- Familiarity with cash handling, payment processing, and balancing a cash drawer
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Perform guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service addressing guest inquiries, requests, and concerns
- Manage reservations and ensure all guest information is accurate in the system
- Assist with guest needs including wake-up calls, room changes, and additional amenities
- Handle guest issues professionally and resolve them promptly
- Conduct detailed audit of financial transactions including guest folios, cash handling, and credit card charges
- Reconcile daily revenue, verify postings, and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and distribute reports such as night audit report, revenue report, and occupancy report for management
- Close day’s financial activities and generate daily flash report
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures across departments
- Maintain financial records including guest ledgers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Process and review invoices for accuracy before forwarding to accounting
- Assist with month-end financial reporting and statements
- Monitor and control cash handling procedures ensuring secure storage of funds
- Follow all hotel accounting and financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Maintain a secure environment for guests and employees throughout the night
- Monitor hotel access and ensure safety of property and guests
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, or security concerns according to protocols
- Adhere to Maya Hotels policies, procedures, and code of ethics
- Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance following grooming policy
- Promote a safe working environment, practice proper cash handling, and comply with safety regulations
- Participate in sustainability initiatives including recycling and energy reduction
