Job Description

HHM Hotels is a well-established hospitality company known for delivering quality lodging experiences with a focus on exceptional guest service and operational excellence. As a reputable hotel brand, HHM Hotels continuously strives to create a welcoming environment for guests and a rewarding workplace for its employees. Emphasizing values such as "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It," HHM Hotels ensures a positive impact on both guests and team members. The company offers a range of employment opportunities including full-time and part-time positions, with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits designed to support the growth and well-being of its workforce.

The Night Auditor position at HHM Hotels is a crucial role within the front office department that combines accounting, auditing, and guest service responsibilities during overnight shifts. This role is designed to balance revenue, perform nightly audits, reconcile financial transactions, and prepare reports to ensure the hotel’s financial records are accurate and up-to-date. In addition to financial duties, the Night Auditor also serves as a Guest Service Agent, assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, inquiries, and concerns, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction throughout the overnight hours.

This position offers a career growth path within the hospitality industry, including potential promotions to Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, or ultimately Front Office Manager. The Night Auditor works closely with various departments to audit and reconcile all cash and credit transactions, input and update financial information using the hotel's BRAINS network, and ensure adherence to safe work practices and company policies.

Ideal candidates for the Night Auditor role should possess strong arithmetic and computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior experience in night auditing or accounting is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent educational background. The ability to multitask, work independently during overnight shifts, and maintain professionalism under pressure is essential. Certification as a Food Service Director (FSD) is a plus but must be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already held.

HHM Hotels is committed to providing its employees with competitive wages and an array of benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k company match, daily pay options, and free basic life insurance. Additional perks include 24/7 access to TELUS Health for confidential work-life support, travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, an employee assistance and wellness program, educational and professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus program. Work schedules can be flexible but may include holidays and weekends, requiring physical stamina such as standing for extended periods, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Joining HHM Hotels as a Night Auditor provides a unique blend of financial responsibility and guest interaction in a dynamic work environment. This role is key to ensuring smooth hotel operations overnight and enhancing the overall guest experience by maintaining accuracy in financial reporting and delivering exceptional service. For individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to advance their careers, HHM Hotels offers a supportive company culture and clear avenues for professional development.
