The Night Auditor position at RAM Hotels is a pivotal role within the hospitality team, blending customer service expertise with operational responsibilities. The Night Auditor ensures guests are properly checked in and out while maintaining high standards of professional and courteous service. This role operates predominantly during the overnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, offering essential support in managing guest transactions, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues effectively to guarantee an exceptional guest experience throughout the night. Alongside direct guest interaction, the Night Auditor manages critical audit paperwork and prepares the hotel for the morning shift, ensuring a seamlessly smooth transition of responsibilities.

In addition to front desk duties, the Night Auditor at RAM Hotels acts as a concierge, assisting with restaurant reservations, providing directions, and recommending local attractions, enhancing the overall guest experience. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of data entry and database management
  • Familiarity with telephone etiquette
  • Experience or understanding of the hospitality industry preferred
  • Prior experience in guest services preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills a plus
  • Ability to operate front office equipment
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Good organizational abilities
  • Capability to perform repetitive duties
  • Physical stamina to walk sit and stand during shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of work-related experience in customer service hotel industry management or related field strongly preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in data entry and database management
  • Telephone etiquette experience
  • Understanding of hospitality industry preferred
  • Previous experience as a guest services agent preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills preferred
  • Experience with front office equipment

Job Duties

  • Serve as concierge to guests including making restaurant reservations providing directions recommending area attractions
  • Become familiar with the property location types of rooms available room rates and activities offered
  • Accommodate guests with registration assign hotel rooms generate secure room cards and assist with special requests
  • Verify guests method of payment and follow established credit-check procedures post and file charges to guest accounts and handle cash and credit transactions
  • Input guest information in the PMS system communicate information to hotel personnel and ensure front desk area is presentable
  • Work closely with housekeeping to update room status reports notify about early check-ins special requests request maintenance
  • Perform overnight audits complete paperwork prepare lobby and breakfast area
  • Report unusual occurrences to management understand safety and emergency procedures
  • Attend departmental meetings and adapt to schedule changes
  • Perform other tasks to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
