Job Description
Our esteemed establishment is a well-regarded hotel dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality and accommodation experiences to our guests. This hotel is known for its commitment to quality service, comfortable lodging, and a welcoming atmosphere that appeals to both leisure and business travelers. We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and courteous environment for our guests, ensuring their stay is pleasant and memorable. As part of our dedication to excellence, we are seeking a Night Auditor who will play a crucial role in our front desk operations, serving as both a guest service ambassador and an integral team member responsible for accounting and security functions overnight.
The Night Auditor position is central to our nightly operations and acts as the initial point of contact for guests arriving during late hours and the final checkpoint for guests checking out. This full-time role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced hotel environment. The Night Auditor is responsible for greeting and registering guests with professionalism and enthusiasm, handling guest inquiries, reservations, and modifications, and providing consistent, attentive service throughout their stay. In addition, this role oversees crucial financial tasks, such as balancing accounts, processing credit card transactions, conducting the night audit reports, and settling guest accounts with accuracy to ensure operational compliance and financial integrity.
Beyond guest relations and financial responsibilities, the Night Auditor contributes to maintaining the safety and security of the hotel premises by performing regular security patrols and promptly addressing any incidents or concerns. This position supports interdepartmental coordination, ensuring room statuses are updated accurately and any maintenance issues are communicated promptly. The role requires adherence to company policies related to health, safety, and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and state guidelines. The Night Auditor also supports marketing initiatives by effectively promoting room sales and hotel services, helping to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Candidates for this position should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a positive attitude aimed at delivering superior guest experiences. Familiarity with hotel management software, Microsoft Office, and standard front desk equipment is essential. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to develop professionally within the hospitality industry, supported by a collaborative team environment that values training and continuous improvement. If you are passionate about hospitality and eager to make a difference during the overnight shift, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role at our hotel.
