This hotel is part of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation's renowned enterprises, reflecting a spirit of entrepreneurship and dedication to excellence in all facets of its operation. The organization emphasizes a collaborative work culture and the professional growth of its staff, especially those in supervisory and leadership roles, to maintain its high standards and reputation in the hospitality industry.
The Night Audit Supervisor role at Firelake Hotel is a critical position designed for individuals with a strong background in accounting, auditing, and hotel operations. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $17.50 - $23.00 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance with a modest biweekly employee contribution based on coverage selection. The Night Audit Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily financial transactions and reporting processes, overseeing both the closing of one business day and the opening of the next within the hotel's operations. Scheduled to work from 11 pm to 7 am, this role requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly resolve complex issues as they arise during overnight operations.
The individual in this position will supervise and guide night staff while ensuring compliance with all accounting principles, internal controls, and regulatory standards relevant to tribal and gaming environments. In addition to auditing duties, the supervisor plays a pivotal role in guest service by anticipating and addressing guest needs, resolving complaints promptly, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position demands familiarity with hotel property management systems, proficiency in standard accounting software including Microsoft Excel and Word, and expert knowledge of tribal accounting practices and internal audit procedures. The Night Audit Supervisor is the on-duty authority during overnight hours, entrusted with decision-making responsibilities and the enforcement of policies while managing a diverse team including front desk agents, bell and valet staff, and reservation personnel.
This dynamic and multifaceted role requires a candidate who can thrive in a high-pressure setting, handle multiple priorities effectively, and contribute to the hotel’s bottom line through meticulous financial oversight and exemplary guest service. The Night Audit Supervisor is integral to the Firelake Hotel’s commitment to operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, providing a rewarding career opportunity for those prepared to excel in a hospitality leadership role within a culturally significant and gaming-oriented environment.
