Job Description

The Junto is a contemporary homage to the original club founded by Benjamin Franklin, known as a "club for mutual improvement." This establishment is more than just a hotel; it is a vibrant destination that celebrates community, creativity, and collaboration. The Junto brings together diverse groups of people including visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists, fostering a unique environment where ideas flourish and inspiration flows freely. With its thoughtfully designed public gathering spaces, the hotel acts as a cultural and social hub, playing a significant role in shaping the future and identity of Columbus.

The Junto is proud to be a landmark of the area, combining the charm of historical significance with modern amenities to provide an exceptional experience for all who visit. Its commitment to mutual enrichment and social interaction ensures guests and the community alike have opportunities to connect and grow. It is a place where history, hospitality, and innovation intertwine seamlessly.

The Night Auditor position at The Junto is a vital role responsible for ensuring that the hotel operates smoothly through the night and is perfectly prepared for each new day. This role is ideal for someone who thrives during the nighttime hours, possesses a watchful eye for detail, and enjoys engaging with guests to provide outstanding service. The individual in this role manages the front desk during the night shift, balancing accounts from the day shift, auditing records for accuracy, and processing invoices. Ensuring accounts are accurately reconciled is critical to maintaining the financial integrity of the property.

In addition to financial responsibilities, the Night Auditor is also the first point of contact for guests during overnight hours. This role involves facilitating check-ins and check-outs, scheduling wake-up calls, handling guest requests and complaints with professionalism, and maintaining an orderly front desk. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and resolve issues efficiently is essential to succeed in this position. The Night Auditor acts as a liaison between guests and various departments, ensuring communication flows smoothly overnight.

As a member of the Makeready collection, The Junto offers a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values the health and well-being of its team members. The company provides a wide range of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, maternity and paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched 401k, student loan repayment programs, and many other ancillary benefits. These comprehensive offerings underscore the companys dedication to fostering a positive work environment where employees can thrive and feel valued.

The Junto embraces a set of Guiding Principles that define how team members work together successfully and authentically. The hotel and its parent company Makeready LLC are committed to equal employment opportunities, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. This commitment ensures that hiring and team development are based solely on individual qualifications, experience, abilities, and job performance, free from discrimination of any kind. The Night Auditor will join a team that strives for excellence and mutual respect, where individuality is celebrated and professional growth is encouraged.
