Job Description
Delta Air Lines, one of the world's leading airlines, is renowned for its extensive global network, exceptional customer service, and commitment to safety and innovation. With headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta operates thousands of daily flights connecting millions of passengers to destinations across the globe. A major player in the aviation industry, Delta prides itself on providing a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement. As a key hub for Delta’s operations, New York is a dynamic and bustling aviation center that provides employees with unique opportunities to grow and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The company is committed to maintaining an agile workforce capable of adapting to ever-changing travel demands, ensuring reliable and exceptional service to passengers.
The Reserve Flight Attendant role based in New York, NY, is an exciting opportunity designed for individuals who enjoy flexibility and thrive in dynamic work environments. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $32 to $38, translating to approximately $36,400 annually, making it an attractive option for candidates seeking rewarding work within the aviation sector. The role is perfectly suited for professionals with strong customer service skills who are eager to embrace the challenging and unpredictable nature of the airline industry.
As a Reserve Flight Attendant, you play a critical role in the seamless operation of flights by being ready to respond quickly to changes or disruptions in scheduling. Unlike fixed schedules, this position involves being on-call and ready to report for duty within a short timeframe, often due to unforeseen events such as weather delays, crew illnesses, or aircraft swaps. Your adaptability and readiness ensure that flights remain fully staffed, providing passengers with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable travel experience.
This position demands a high level of professionalism, resilience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality under any circumstance. Reserve Flight Attendants must be well-versed in safety protocols across various aircraft, such as the Airbus A320, A350, and Boeing 737 and 767 models, to guarantee compliance and readiness. In addition to maintaining safety, you will be responsible for upholding Delta’s high standards of service, managing complex meal services, and offering empathetic and attentive care to passengers.
Working as a Reserve Flight Attendant at Delta Air Lines offers more than just a job; it delivers an unmatched career experience with premium trip opportunities, including chances to travel to exciting international destinations. In addition, our Reserve Flight Attendants enjoy guaranteed base pay regardless of hours flown, comprehensive healthcare packages, and access to a robust 401(k) retirement plan. The company also offers an extensive employee travel program that allows you to explore the world on your days off.
This role requires candidates who are eager to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended multi-day trips on short notice while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. Residing within or willing to relocate close to the New York base airport is essential, along with the ability to pass an intensive six-week initial training program designed to prepare you for success. If you are looking to embark on a flexible, adventurous, and rewarding journey in aviation, Delta Air Lines invites you to join their team and make a difference in the skies above New York and beyond.
