The role available involves preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking responsibilities within the retail operations. As a team member in this position, you will be expected to deliver courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and fellow team members while upholding company standards and policies. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $16.50 to $25.40, commensurate with experience, and is open to entry-level applicants, with no prior retail experience required. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hours per 8-hour workday
- Hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Must handle temperature variations including freezing and refrigeration
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- May require ladder use

Job Duties
- Assists with production for all prepared foods venues
- Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
- Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation
- Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
- Ensures product production is performed using correct measuring devices and all recipes are followed
- Helps customers understand the difference between Whole Foods Market products and products at conventional stores
- Ensures that walk-ins and freezers are kept clean and well-organized
- Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
- Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
- Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Follows and complies with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
