Job Requirements
- ability to stand during the entire shift
- must be able to lift and or move bend stoop climb reach and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferably in a retail or warehouse environment is preferred but not required
- knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
- good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
- thorough understanding of safety hazards personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
Job Duties
- clean and maintain retail and warehouse areas including floors surfaces restrooms and customer seating areas to uphold cleanliness standards and enhance the overall shopping experience
- sweep mop vacuum and scrub floors regularly to remove dirt debris and spills paying special attention to high-traffic areas and entryways
- dust and wipe down surfaces shelves fixtures and displays to remove dust fingerprints and smudges maintaining a tidy and presentable appearance
- clean and sanitize restrooms regularly including toilets sinks mirrors and countertops replenishing supplies as needed to ensure a clean and hygienic environment
- empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the facility disposing of waste properly and replacing liners as needed
- monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities notifying management of any shortages or maintenance issues
- follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- other duties projects as assigned
