Job Requirements
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Commitment to quality service and food knowledge
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Basic English language and professional communication skills
- Able to lift to 15 pounds independently
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs for extended periods
- Must be able to walk or stand for 8-10 hours
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop
- Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting overhead
- Must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurants
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player mindset
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to Nando's standards and management assignments
- Ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines
- Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Manage time efficiently to meet service demands
- Support grill cooks and other kitchen staff as needed
