Nando's is currently hiring for the position of Prep Cook/Line Cook to be part of this important opening crew. As a Prep Cook/Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and cooking to Nando's high standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to quality service and food knowledge
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Basic English language and professional communication skills
  • Able to lift to 15 pounds independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs for extended periods
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 8-10 hours
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop
  • Capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting overhead
  • Must be able to climb stairs in multi-level restaurants

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player mindset

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to Nando's standards and management assignments
  • Ensure ingredients are fresh and stored properly
  • Follow sanitation and safety guidelines
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
