Job Description
Kamitoku is an innovative dining establishment renowned for its dedication to authentic Japanese flavors and rich culinary tradition. As it prepares to open its newest location at the South Shore Market in Kakaako in late July, Kamitoku seeks talented and experienced Line Cooks to become integral members of its opening team. The restaurant specializes in premium beef dishes, emphasizing rich beef bone broth and ramen, all crafted and served in a lively open-kitchen environment. This setup not only highlights the culinary craftsmanship but also allows guests to engage with the vibrant energy of the kitchen, making the dining experience more immersive and authentic.
As a Line Cook at Kamitoku, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes consistent with the brand’s standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for cooks passionate about Japanese cuisine, meat preparation, and fast-paced kitchen environments to contribute their skills and learn from a supportive team focused on culinary excellence. The restaurant values hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented individuals who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative workspace.
The role involves preparing and cooking various menu items, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to food safety practices, and efficiently managing opening and closing kitchen duties. Candidates will receive competitive compensation starting at $18 per hour, with pay increasing based on experience. Additional benefits include tips, staff meals during shifts, and provided uniforms. For eligible full-time employees, health insurance coverage is available, underscoring Kamitoku's commitment to employee wellbeing.
Kamitoku’s upcoming location promises to become a culinary hotspot in Kakaako, blending superb food quality, engaging service, and an energetic kitchen atmosphere. Joining the team offers a unique career growth path, hands-on experience with authentic Japanese cuisine, and the opportunity to be part of a vibrant and expanding restaurant brand. Training is scheduled for mid-July to properly prepare team members for the opening and ensure a seamless transition into the role, creating a supportive environment to excel as a Line Cook.
