Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily housekeeping and laundry operations, manages housekeeping staff, and guarantees high-quality service and product standards. This role demands a hands-on leader who can inspire and support their team, handle guest concerns effectively, and maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with company and health standards. The supervisor is also involved in operational aspects such as scheduling, training, inventory management, and implementing efficiency improvements. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of housekeeping supervisor experience
  • Three years of housekeeping experience
  • Willingness to work on holidays and weekends
  • Knowledgeable of housekeeping operations
  • Ability to work under stress and deadlines
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Physical capability to push, pull, carry and lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to move furniture and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending and stair climbing

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year housekeeping supervisor experience
  • At least three years housekeeping experience
  • Ability to work on holidays and weekends
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train and motivate staff
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to balance constructive criticism with positive feedback

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive housekeeper with managing daily housekeeping and laundry operations
  • Oversee all housekeeping staff and prepare assignment sheets
  • Provide strong leadership and be readily accessible to staff
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings to communicate and address staff concerns
  • Respond to and follow through on guest requests, concerns and problems
  • Maintain or exceed standards of cleanliness and guest service in all areas
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back of the house
  • Record lost and found articles and secure them
  • Conduct training and coaching sessions on policies and equipment usage
  • Monitor administrative functions for accurate record keeping
  • Maintain inventories of amenities, chemicals and supplies
  • Refer maintenance issues to maintenance engineer
  • Recommend operational efficiencies to improve service and quality
  • Perform other functions as required and directed
