Job Description
New Home Star is a prominent player in the real estate sales industry, recognized as the largest privately owned new home sales company in the United States. With a robust partnership network with leading home builders and a commitment to excellence, New Home Star has established itself as a powerhouse in empowering high-performing sales agents. The company is known for its industry-leading training programs, cutting-edge technological tools, and an environment that fosters unlimited earning potential for driven professionals. Headquartered with operations across multiple U.S. locations, New Home Star combines deep market knowledge with innovative sales methodologies to help agents succeed in the competitive real estate landscape.
The role offered is a New Home Sales Agent position located in Dayton, Ohio, representing our trusted builder partner, Maronda Homes. This opportunity is ideally suited for motivated individuals who are passionate about real estate sales and eager to build successful careers in new home sales. As a New Home Sales Agent, you will harness your interpersonal skills and sales acumen to guide potential homebuyers through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through closing. This position is crafted for those who thrive on connecting with clients, mastering product knowledge, and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
New Home Star equips its sales agents with comprehensive training, mentorship programs, and state-of-the-art CRM technology to optimize lead management and sales productivity. There is an emphasis on ongoing professional development to keep agents updated on industry trends and sales techniques. The company’s award-winning workplace culture, recognized by accolades such as the Best Place to Work in Real Estate in 2025 and Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work, ensures that team members are part of a collaborative and supportive community. Agents benefit from structured career growth opportunities including leadership development programs and clear advancement pathways.
In addition to an engaging work environment, New Home Star offers competitive compensation with no earnings caps, enabling agents to maximize their income based on performance. The pay structure includes a guaranteed salary during the initial training and ramp-up period (up to five months), transitioning to a commission-based model where agents receive half of their commission upfront with the remainder paid at closing. Estimated annual earnings range between $120,000 and $160,000 or more, reflecting the lucrative potential of the role.
Candidates for this position must be prepared to work onsite and commit to weekend hours to meet client needs effectively. A real estate license must be obtained during training, and applicants should have at least two years of experience in sales, customer service, or real estate, coupled with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with CRM systems and presentation software is highly valued, as is a tech-savvy mindset including familiarity with AI-driven tools. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and liability insurance on vehicles are mandatory.
New Home Star also prioritizes community engagement by encouraging employees to participate in volunteer initiatives, supported by allocated time and financial resources dedicated to giving back locally. Comprehensive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, and paid time off enhance the overall compensation and workplace satisfaction.
New Home Star is an equal opportunity employer and requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States. The company does not provide visa sponsorship or participate in employment-based work authorization sponsorship programs. Remote work options are limited to authorized states. This role is a stepping stone to a rewarding real estate career for those ready to build dreams and close deals with a top-tier sales company.
