These residency programs are meticulously designed to support newly graduated registered nurses transitioning from academic environments to professional nursing roles. The Nurse Residency Programs at UVMMC and its affiliates embody a commitment to lifelong learning, continuous improvement, and supportive mentorship. Facilities involved include Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY; Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, VT; Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY; Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown, NY; Home Health & Hospice services within Chittenden and Grand Isle counties, VT; Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT; and The University of Vermont Medical Center itself in Burlington, VT. Each location offers unique specialized units such as emergency departments, intensive care units, birthing centers, surgical services, psychiatric inpatient care, and more, expanding the scope of clinical exposure for new nurses.
This is a regular, full-time employment opportunity within the nursing department under the talent acquisition leadership of Stephanie St Hilaire.
