Job Description
Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is a leading healthcare institution renowned for its commitment to exemplary patient care and professional nursing practice. As a proud Magnet Hospital, a prestigious distinction awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Fairview Hospital exemplifies excellence, quality, and innovation in nursing standards and healthcare services. Located in Cleveland, this hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical care, serving adults aged 18 and older with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses. The hospital is dedicated to providing a warm, comforting, and healing environment where patients, families, and visitors can experience the highest standard of healthcare.
The hospital’s 6 North/South Med/Surg and Telemetry Units focus on delivering exceptional care through a compassionate and multidisciplinary team approach. As an RN Resident on these units, you will be part of a dynamic nursing team that supports patients throughout their healthcare journey. This role offers a unique opportunity for new graduate nurses or nurses with less than one year of experience to develop their skills under the mentorship of success coaches and through a structured one-year Nurse Residency program. This accredited program is tailored to individual learning needs and incorporates a variety of methodologies such as online modules, simulation labs, and hands-on training, providing a solid foundation in nursing practice.
This nursing position is a night shift role, requiring availability from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including rotating weekend and holiday shifts. As an RN Resident, you will provide direct nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes. You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, establishing and revising care priorities based on acuity and patient preferences, responding promptly to health risks, and maintaining meticulous documentation in patient medical records. This professional environment encourages seeking supervision and consultation as needed to perform safely and effectively.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, the role emphasizes professional growth and caregiver well-being. Fairview Hospital supports its nursing staff through extensive benefits like an RN Loan Repayment Program aimed at alleviating student debt, tuition reimbursement to support further education and career advancement, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. The hospital also prioritizes caregiver safety through a dedicated Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being, ensuring a secure and supportive workplace by proactively addressing safety concerns and providing essential resources.
Overall, this role provides a robust introduction into professional nursing within a supportive, resource-rich healthcare environment known for its medical excellence and commitment to nurturing the next generation of nurses. The competitive pay range spans from $35.50 to $55.60 per hour, reflective of experience, education, and skill set, excluding benefits and shift differentials. Joining Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital means becoming part of a nationally recognized and respected healthcare community dedicated to outstanding patient care and continuous learning.
