The G110 Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Taussig Cancer Center focuses on the specialized care of patients undergoing bone marrow transplants for conditions such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other cancers. This unit is staffed by highly skilled caregivers who assist patients through high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous, allogeneic, umbilical cord, or nonmyeloablative transplants. Beyond transplantation, the unit is dedicated to managing complex post-transplant care, including treatment for graft versus host disease and symptom management for chronic patients. Caregivers in this position engage in a day/night rotation, working 12.5-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. The role involves participating in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs, providing direct nursing care alongside success coaches, and prioritizing patient care based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying and responding to patient health risks, initiate corrective actions, and seek supervision whenever necessary to ensure safe and independent practice. Documentation in patient medical records is a critical component of the role, maintaining high standards of clinical accuracy and compliance.

The position is well-suited for new graduate nurses or those with less than one year of nursing experience who desire to grow their expertise in oncology and bone marrow transplantation. Cleveland Clinic provides a supportive learning environment that encourages professional development and excellence in clinical practice. The pay range for this role starts at $35.50 per hour and can go up to $55.60 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and education.
