Our company is a dedicated transportation service provider based in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in local hauling and freight delivery. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive environment for new Class A CDL drivers, especially those who are at the beginning of their careers in the transportation industry. Our focus is on creating lasting relationships with our drivers by offering comprehensive training programs, competitive pay, and consistent routes that allow for home daily schedules. We operate out of 700 Visco Dr, Nashville, TN, which is a hub for our daily dispatch and company operations.

This job opportunity is tailored specifically for local Class A CDL drivers who are new to the trucking industry. Our New Driver/Student Mentoring Program is designed to provide all the necessary support and instruction for new drivers to gain confidence and skills in a real-world environment. This program lasts for a minimum of four weeks and includes paid training at a competitive rate of $18 per hour during this onboarding period. After successfully completing training, drivers are transitioned into our Experienced Driver division, where weekly earnings increase substantially. New drivers typically earn between $900 and $1000 weekly during training, but their income rises to an average of $1,200 to $1,500 after onboarding. Experienced drivers then earn between $1,400 and $1,600 weekly, reflecting their enhanced capability and responsibility.

The role focuses on local routes within a 50-mile radius of Nashville, enabling drivers to return home daily, which is an attractive aspect for many seeking work-life balance. Additionally, the freight handled is 100 percent no-touch, meaning the drivers are not required to physically load or unload the freight, which increases safety and efficiency.

Job Requirements

  • 21 years old
  • Class A CDL or certificate from truck driving school
  • No conviction for serious traffic violations in last 3 years (speeding 15 miles per hour over speed limit, reckless driving, improper lane change, following too closely, or fatal accident violations)
  • No more than 1 speeding ticket in the last 3 years
  • No at-fault accident in the last 3 years

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL license or certificate from an accredited truck driving school
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • Basic knowledge of local traffic laws and road regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and professionalism
  • Less than 18 months experience as a commercial driver
  • Age 21 years or older

Job Duties

  • Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws
  • Follow assigned local routes daily ensuring timely delivery and pick-up
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any issues
