Job Description
This established transportation company specializes in local freight delivery and is currently expanding its team of Class A CDL drivers within 50 miles of Nashville. Known for its commitment to new drivers, the company offers a structured New Driver and Student Mentoring Program aimed at those entering the transportation industry with minimal experience. The program includes a paid training period lasting a minimum of four weeks, during which new drivers earn $18 per hour. Successful completion of the onboarding period leads to a salary increase, with drivers averaging between $1,200 and $1,500 weekly. After moving into the Experienced Driver division, weekly earnings increase further to an average range of $1,400 to $1,600.
The company prides itself on its local, home-daily routes that offer work-life balance for its drivers. All freight handled is 100% no-touch, meaning drivers are not responsible for loading or unloading cargo, enhancing job safety and convenience. This position is ideal for individuals who have obtained their Class A CDL or a certificate from a truck driving school but have little to no prior experience in the industry. The organization supports new drivers by providing mentorship, comprehensive training, and a clear pathway toward a rewarding career in transportation. Drivers benefit from predictable hours, competitive pay, and a supportive work environment that values safety and professionalism.
