The NDT Radiographic Testing (RT) Technician role in Savannah, GA, offers an excellent opportunity for qualified individuals experienced in radiographic testing to join the MISTRAS Group team on a full-time basis. The RT Technician is responsible for performing industrial radiographic inspections in accordance with approved company procedures, customer specifications, and industry standards. This role involves setting up, calibrating, and operating radiographic testing equipment to evaluate material integrity and detect any defects or irregularities. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of radiographic testing techniques, safety protocols, and the ability to interpret inspection results accurately.
Beyond the technical responsibilities, the RT Technician must maintain accurate documentation and inspection reports, comply with radiation safety and company safety procedures, and work collaboratively with supervisors, customers, and project teams. This position may require working various shifts, including weekends, nights, and overtime, depending on project demands. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Requirements
- Current Level II RT certification preferred
- Previous industrial radiography experience required
- State card and/or IRRSP certification preferred where applicable
- Strong understanding of radiographic testing techniques and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- High school diploma or GED or related field
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Level II RT certification preferred
- Previous industrial radiography experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Graduated from a non-destructive testing school preferred
- Additional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, VT, PAUT) are a plus
- Experience in refinery, manufacturing, fabrication, aerospace, or industrial environments preferred
- Experience with CR/DR systems is a plus
Job Duties
- Perform radiographic testing (RT) inspections in accordance with approved procedures and standards
- Set up, calibrate, and operate RT equipment
- Interpret radiographic images and evaluate indications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and quality requirements
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Follow all radiation safety and company safety procedures
- Maintain inspection equipment and records
- Work closely with supervisors, customers, and project teams
- Support outage, maintenance, fabrication, and inspection projects
- Support additional NDT methods as needed
- Work overtime, weekends, nights, and varying shifts as project demands require
