This full-time opportunity is for an NDT Radiographic Testing (RT) Assistant based in Louisville, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be someone local to the Louisville area who has relevant experience supporting RT technicians. The role involves assisting with radiographic testing operations in both shop and field environments, requiring a solid commitment to safety and quality compliance. The NDT RT Assistant will support inspection activities by handling equipment setup, maintenance, and transport of tools and materials, as well as helping with film processing and digital radiography. Job Requirements
- Local to Louisville, KY
- Previous RT Assistant experience
- Strong safety awareness
- Ability to work in fast-paced field and shop settings
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to handle inspection tools and equipment safely
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous RT Assistant experience required
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices
- Ability to work in industrial and outdoor environments
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- State card or radiation safety training preferred
- Additional NDT experience or certifications are a plus
- TWIC card and OSHA certifications are a plus
- Experience in refinery, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
Job Duties
- Assist RT Technicians with radiographic testing operations and inspections
- Help set up and maintain radiographic equipment and work areas
- Handle and transport inspection tools, materials, and equipment
- Maintain compliance with all radiation safety and company safety procedures
- Support film processing and digital radiography operations as needed
- Prepare work areas and assist with equipment calibration and setup
- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as project demands require
