Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • 2 or more years of experience as a server in a high-end restaurant
  • Extensive knowledge of wines and spirits
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Poised and professional attitude
  • Comfortable serving alcohol
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and late nights

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a server or waitstaff in a high-end restaurant
  • Extensive wine knowledge with sommelier certification preferred
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairings and fine dining service techniques
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Poised and professional demeanor with strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable serving alcohol and at least 21 years of age
  • Familiarity with Forbes dining standards is a plus

Job Duties

  • Serve 4-6 table stations including taking and entering food orders, delivering food and beverages at proper temperature, following up with guest needs until completion of meals, and pre-bussing tables
  • Share knowledge of wines and spirits to guests
  • Anticipate guest needs and act accordingly
  • Work with kitchen and restaurant equipment such as coffee brewers, juice and soda fountains, and toasters
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of side stations
  • Complete assigned side work including polishing silverware, folding napkins, filling condiment caddies, cleaning beverage stations, and slicing fruit for garnishes
  • Possibly combine food serving with limited food preparation
  • Serve as a cocktail server when needed
  • Assist guests with directions, entertainment, and show event information
