Hubbard Radio-Twin Cities is a full-service media company renowned for its legendary radio stations and advanced digital marketing solutions. Serving the Greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul community, Hubbard Radio offers a diverse range of marketing services including radio broadcasting, full-service digital marketing, influencer marketing, creative services, custom content creation, podcasts, and live events. The company prides itself on building dominant brands that connect consumers and advertisers, fostering stronger businesses and communities. Hubbard Radio’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its core values: always doing the right thing with focus, urgency, and passion. The organization emphasizes a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect, valuing each employee’s unique contributions and ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities and veterans.
The position available is a promotional marketing role responsible for assisting in the marketing and promotional efforts of myTalk 107.1 during the 2026 Minnesota State Fair. This role is an hourly position offering a wage of $17.00 per hour and requires availability throughout the fair duration—from setup one week prior to the fair, through the two week event (August 27 - September 7), and continuing with teardown for one week after. Key responsibilities include representing the station at the Minnesota State Fair, handling sales of station merchandise such as t-shirts using cash register and credit card terminals, and engaging with clients, station personnel, listeners, and the general public to promote the station’s brand effectively. The person in this role will contribute to maintaining a clean, organized booth that represents the stations professionally and will support air staff during meet and greet events and photo opportunities.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, outgoing, proactive, and creative, with excellent organizational and time management skills. They must be able to work well in a team environment along with other promotional staff, on-air talent, and clients. This role requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and daytime hours during the fair and preparation periods. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to substitute at other Hubbard Radio station booths as needed. As a condition of employment, this position requires a pre-employment driving record background check, conducted under strict confidentiality and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Hubbard Radio values the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market considerations in making employment decisions.
Joining Hubbard Radio means becoming part of a historic company with over 100 years of dedication to media excellence and community service. Employees enjoy a vibrant, supportive work culture where innovation and community engagement are highly encouraged. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable experience in media marketing, event promotion, and customer engagement, making it ideal for individuals passionate about media, marketing, and live event environments. The company provides comprehensive benefits and a supportive atmosphere where employees can thrive both professionally and personally.
