Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Technology Recording Production or related field or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of extensive professional experience in studio production and recording and live event production
  • Experience in studio production and recording and live event production
  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time while meeting assigned deadlines
  • Knowledge of live concert and sound production recording and general lighting techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of audio systems computer software and file systems
  • Excellent interpersonal initiative teamwork problem solving organization communication verbal and written time management project management and presentation skills
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position such as Microsoft Office Airtable
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

Job Duties

  • Manage operations of the Music Industry Building including equipment inventory database tracking maintenance schedules and studio scheduling
  • Provide technical production support for performances including audio recording live sound and video recording broadcast
  • Supervise train and schedule student workers supporting recording and production activities
  • Provide technical support to faculty and students for use of equipment and facilities
  • Manage and maintain archival recordings and distribution processes
  • Serve as recording engineer and event manager for assigned sessions and performances
  • Other duties as assigned
