The Maintenance Technician role at Equity Residential is crucial to maintaining the high standards of living within its apartment communities. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment and perform interior repairs and painting preferred
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills
- Ability to work any assigned shift including weekends and respond to emergencies after hours
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds
