As a Multifamily Project Manager within this company, you will play a pivotal role supporting Project Managers through all phases of multifamily construction—from preconstruction planning through to project closeout. Your responsibilities will include regular site visits conducted at least weekly, engaging in thorough site walks to ensure construction progress aligns with project plans and specifications. You will also lend your expertise to uphold strict safety protocols by reinforcing OSHA requirements and company-specific safety standards during your site visits and coordination meetings.

Collaboration stands at the core of this role, as you will coordinate closely with superintendents and trade partners to manage scheduling, sequencing, manpower allocation, and logistical planning. Keeping projects on track requires diligent monitoring of material procurement, equipment needs, and timely delivery to meet critical project milestones.

Quality control is another significant aspect of this position. You will review installations for compliance with contract requirements, identify and address any deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are followed through efficiently. Your role extends to administrative support, involving preparation and distribution of weekly progress reports, Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and detailed minutes from meetings to internal teams and ownership stakeholders.

Leadership and communication skills are vital as you help facilitate subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain clear and consistent communication between field teams and project leadership. Managing project documentation including change management items and cost impacts related to field conditions will also fall under your purview. Proactive identification of risks and effective problem-solving by coordinating solutions within the project team will help mitigate delays and budget overruns.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in construction management civil engineering or a related field preferred
  • minimum of 5 years experience managing multifamily construction projects with a general contractor
  • strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety protocols
  • proven ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors and field teams
  • experience using construction management software and scheduling tools
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Job Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of direct GC sided project management supporting multifamily projects
  • excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • advanced understanding of commercial construction safety technical requirements and field sequencing
  • proficiency with construction management tools scheduling and reporting

Job Duties

  • support project managers in overseeing multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout with scheduled site visits at least once per week
