The Multi-Unit Leader (MUL) role at Dunkin' is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the operations of approximately 5 to 8 individual restaurant locations. This position demands a hands-on leader who provides guidance, coaching, and direction to Restaurant Managers to ensure that each restaurant achieves its financial goals and operational standards. The role requires a commitment of 50 to 55 hours per week, including working six days with at least one weekend day, reflecting the necessity for hands-on supervision during peak business hours.
As a MUL, you will be instrumental in maximizing sales and profitability by ensuring that each restaurant adheres to brand standards, including food safety, customer service, and operational efficiency. You will be required to analyze restaurant sales and operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies that drive sales growth and enhance guest experience. This leadership role involves establishing clear sales and service goals in collaboration with franchise owners and restaurant managers, facilitating open communication and alignment with business objectives.
The role also includes direct involvement in restaurant team leadership, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing restaurant managers. You will be responsible for coaching these managers to improve their team's performance, boost guest satisfaction, and increase restaurant profitability. A significant part of your responsibilities includes delivering training on marketing initiatives, new product launches, and brand procedures to ensure consistency and excellence across all units.

Job Duties
- perform all duties of restaurant team members and restaurant managers
- ensure all restaurants in their portfolio are meeting Brand operational standards and food safety standards
- analyze restaurant sales and drive improvement in restaurant operations, execution, sales and profitability
- understand local marketing area and competitor trends
- establish sales and service goals with franchise owners and restaurant managers
- provide great guest service and resolve issues
- lead team meetings
- deliver training to restaurant managers on marketing windows, LTOs and Brand initiatives
- ensure that restaurants correctly execute new products and processes in a marketing window
- develop business plans and action plans with franchise owners
- drive a clear vision and communicate it to the team
- engage with Dunkin’ Brands Field Operations team as appropriate
- recruit, hire, onboard and develop restaurant managers
- plan, monitor, appraise and review restaurant employee performance
- manage and coordinate the Restaurant Management team
- coach Restaurant Managers to drive sales, improve profitability and guest satisfaction
