Job Description
HMSHost is a global hospitality company dedicated to delivering exceptional dining and retail experiences to travelers around the world. With a broad portfolio that spans airports, highways, and major travel venues, HMSHost is a leader in the food and beverage (F&B) industry, renowned for its commitment to service excellence and innovation. The company prides itself on fostering a culture of engagement, appreciation, and inclusion, offering competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and abundant growth opportunities for its employees. HMSHost supports its teams with robust training programs and encourages a work environment where managers act as coaches who inspire, motivate, and guide their staff towards achieving business and personal success. This dedication ensures both associates and travelers feel great in their respective roles and journeys.
The role of Multi-Unit Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager II at HMSHost is a pivotal leadership position within the organization, serving as an intermediary between the Senior or Director of Operations and the General Managers overseeing multiple restaurants within a designated terminal, concourse, or zone. This position demands a dynamic, experienced professional who can uphold the highest operational and financial standards across all assigned locations. The F&B Multi-Unit Manager II is entrusted with ensuring restaurants are consistently clean, adequately staffed, and fully operational during all business hours, maintaining seamless daily operations through strategic oversight and hands-on leadership.
This position requires an individual who excels in managing multi-unit, multi-concept restaurant operations, typically with 8 to 10 years of restaurant industry experience and several years of management at the multi-unit level. Candidates with a background in QSR, casual dining, full service, unionized, or non-union environments will find this role aligns with their expertise. The F&B Multi-Unit Manager II is skilled at developing teams, scheduling effectively to maintain leadership presence during all operating hours, and holding General Managers accountable for performance, compliance, and employee engagement.
Key responsibilities extend into managing staffing decisions, such as interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and if necessary, terminating employees within the zone. The role also involves closely monitoring financial and operational reports to ensure goals are met and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic decisions. Additionally, the manager champions employee recognition programs and enforces strict adherence to safety and health regulations, including the latest wellness protocols.
An essential aspect of this role is maintaining product availability and managing relationships with vendors to address supply chain issues promptly. The manager oversees equipment maintenance, promotes waste minimization and food donation initiatives, and ensures technology tools like MIV, Crunch Time, and Kronos are utilized effectively. The ability to implement marketing programs to drive revenue and maintain the visual appeal and brand standards of the restaurants within the zone is also critical.
The position commands a high level of discretion, judgment, and decision-making, with responsibilities that include resolving customer and associate issues, promoting diversity and inclusion, and ensuring compliance with all landlord lease agreements and union contracts where applicable. The F&B Multi-Unit Manager II works a varied and rotating schedule, including opening, peak, and closing shifts to oversee operations comprehensively.
HMSHost offers a competitive salary ranging from $71,747 to $86,966 per year. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, meal and transportation benefits, 401(k) with company match, company-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance programs, training, and career advancement opportunities. The company proudly promotes equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive work environment where every team member is valued.
