HMSHost emphasizes cultivating an environment where employees can be their best selves while delivering a welcoming and seamless experience for guests on the move.
At HMSHost, managers are viewed as coach-leaders who inspire their teams to achieve excellent results in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry. The company’s commitment to inclusivity is evident through its equal opportunity employment policies promoting diversity across race, gender, disability, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
The role of the Multi-Unit Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager I at HMSHost is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing a zone or subsection of several restaurant units within a terminal, concourse, or similar area. This position acts as a vital link between the Senior Director of Operations and the assigned restaurant General Managers, ensuring high operational standards, financial performance, and compliance across all locations within the zone. With a reported salary range of $71,646 to $79,606 per year, this full-time exempt role involves a varied and rotating schedule, requiring the manager to be present onsite during multiple shifts including some mornings, busy dayparts, and closing times to effectively monitor and support the team.
The Multi-Unit F&B Manager I is tasked with holding General Managers accountable for staffing, operational readiness, compliance with company policies, and adherence to safety and health regulations. The manager mentors and coaches staff, fosters employee engagement, oversees hiring and termination processes, and drives revenue growth through operational excellence and innovative marketing implementations. This role demands a hands-on leader who can manage multiple locations, troubleshoot operational challenges, maintain product and equipment availability, and preserve high standards of brand knowledge and visual appeal.
Candidates for this position typically have 8-10 years of restaurant experience with at least 3 to 5 years in multi-unit, multi-concept management roles depending on the size of the zone supervised. The company values demonstrated leadership skills, team management capabilities, knowledge of foodservice operational standards, and the ability to read and interpret financial and operational reports. The F&B Multi-Unit Manager I plays an essential part in upholding HMSHost's values of integrity, reliability, and a passion for serving others while ensuring that both employees and guests have a positive experience. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth within the company's multi-level leadership structure and reflects HMSHost’s commitment to its employees’ success and well-being.
