Job Requirements
- Documented and demonstrated multi-unit restaurant management experience
- Minimum three years multi-unit and overall eight to ten years restaurant management experience
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of HMSHost policies or learn quickly
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, policy documents, menus, and brand standards
- Capability to converse comfortably with individuals at various levels
- Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for some experience
- Strong team management and delegation skills
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities
Job Qualifications
- Documented multi-unit management experience in QSR, casual dining, or full-service restaurants
- Minimum of 3 years multi-unit management for small zones or 5 years for large zones
- Overall restaurant management experience of 8 to 10 years
- Graduation from Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute experience
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and issue resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Knowledge or ability to quickly learn HMSHost policies and operational standards
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending instructions, policies, and brand standards
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Ensure all GMs and staff execute opening and closing checklists and requirements
- Schedule managers to maintain leadership presence during all operating hours and ensure all restaurants have person-in-charge
- Provide coaching, support, and encouragement to restaurant staff to achieve business goals
- Interview candidates and make staffing decisions including hiring, promotion, and termination
- Monitor financial and operational data and adjust staffing and resources to meet goals
- Collaborate with senior leadership for strategy and communicate goals to zone management
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and train managers and associates on health protocols
- Oversee product availability, order preparation, inventory management, and vendor communication
- Maintain restaurant equipment through scheduling repairs and routine service
- Implement marketing programs and promote brand standards
- Manage day-to-day operations and resolve customer and associate issues
- Develop and implement employee recognition and engagement initiatives
- Enforce loss prevention measures and oversee purchasing decisions for repairs and supplies
- Keep updated with brand, labor agreements, and lease standards to maximize operations
- Conduct training for associates on brand policies and encourage adoption of technology
