Job Description

HMSHost is a leading global hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional service in dynamic environments such as airports, travel plazas, and other transit locations. With a vast footprint around the world, HMSHost leverages its extensive resources, comprehensive training programs, and diverse career advancement opportunities to support its employees in achieving their professional aspirations. The company fosters a culture centered around engagement, inclusion, and appreciation, where every team member is empowered to be their best self in a supportive and rewarding workplace. HMSHost values a culture of care, recognizing the importance of both employee satisfaction and the continual delivery of excellent guest experiences. The company emphasizes strong leadership, reliability, and integrity to drive a positive work environment and deliver outstanding hospitality to millions of travelers daily.

The Multi-Unit Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager I role at HMSHost is designed as an intermediary leadership position, playing a crucial part within the operational structure by managing a group of restaurants or points-of-sale within a delineated zone. Reporting typically to the Senior/Director of Operations, this role requires a proactive leader who can ensure that each restaurant under their oversight operates efficiently, cleanly, and profitably. The F&B Multi-Unit Manager I is accountable not only for operational success but also for maintaining high standards in staffing, product availability, brand compliance, and safety. This role demands a professional who combines broad managerial discretion with strategic thinking to uphold and advance the company’s standards across multiple units, influencing the overall traveler experience positively.

An essential part of this position involves working closely with General Managers to hold them accountable for the daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, staff development, and financial controls. The manager must ensure that each restaurant within the zone adheres to best practices in terms of cleanliness, customer service, product quality, and safety regulations. They are responsible for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, promoting employee engagement behaviors, and supporting career growth opportunities within their teams. Moreover, this role involves financial and operational data analysis to monitor progress against goals and make informed decisions regarding staffing and resource allocation.

The F&B Multi-Unit Manager I is also expected to take a hands-on approach to vendor relations, inventory management, and equipment maintenance while championing initiatives such as waste minimization and food donation programs. Embracing technology is key to success in this role, as the manager must ensure proficiency in company tools and systems to optimize operations. The role also involves the implementation of marketing programs in alignment with corporate strategies to drive revenue growth.

Working within a fast-paced and often varied schedule, including opening, peak, and closing shifts, the Multi-Unit Manager I must be adaptable and ready to lead across different times and business cycles. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, with emphasis on coaching, motivating, and communicating effectively with teams at all levels. It is a pivotal stepping stone position for those aspiring towards higher multi-unit leadership roles within HMSHost’s growing and diverse operational structure.

This is a full-time exempt position offering a competitive salary ranging from $79,083 to $95,859 per year. HMSHost supports its employees with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, holiday pay, meal and transportation benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, company-paid life insurance, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance programs, and extensive training and career development opportunities. The company promotes a respectful and inclusive workplace, is committed to equal opportunity employment, and embraces diversity in all forms. If you have positive energy, a passion for serving others, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and are eager to learn and grow while having fun, HMSHost offers an ideal place to build a rewarding career in hospitality.
