Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical office
- ability to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with no weekends
- eligibility to receive influenza vaccine as a condition of employment
- commitment to uphold HIPAA guidelines
- ability to perform clerical and administrative tasks
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- willingness to participate in required meetings
- adherence to company policies on diversity, equity, and inclusion
Job Qualifications

- proficiency in data entry and clerical work

Job Duties
- Prepare encounter forms for billing
- check encounter forms against appointment schedule and make any necessary corrections
- answer telephone and communicate messages to the appropriate person
- greet patients with positive attitude
- make patient appointments when necessary
- update demographic and insurance information on patients at check-in
- collect payments and outstanding balances
- notify nurse/provider upon patient arrival
- assist in administrative and clerical backup including faxing, processing mail, photocopying, data entry, filing, and telephoning
- assist with scanning of medical records
- show respect, courtesy and advocacy in all dealings with patients, coworkers, and visitors
- display a team-oriented spirit by assisting where and whenever needed
- attend meetings as required
- write legibly and with correct grammar and sentence structure
- follow HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and maintain security of protected health information
- does not exhibit, divulge, copy or remove content of any record except to fulfill work assignments
