Job Description

7-Eleven is a globally recognized family of brands with over 86,000 locations, surpassing every retailer worldwide in terms of presence. As a leader in the convenience store industry, 7-Eleven continuously revolutionizes the retail, restaurant, and fuel sectors through innovative technologies and customer-focused services. Currently, 7-Eleven is seeking to hire a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician I to join the talented maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all store operations run efficiently and smoothly by maintaining and repairing various in-store equipment and facilities. From ensuring the iconic Slurpee machines operate at optimal chill to handling routine repairs and facility upkeep, this role combines technical expertise with hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The employment type is full-time, and the position offers competitive compensation along with a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 (subject to change), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career progression.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for responding promptly to service requests related to minor repairs on equipment such as beverage machines, ice makers, food equipment, and fuel dispensers. You will coordinate orders for plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance needs and oversee inventory management to ensure parts are readily available for repairs. Daily record-keeping and maintenance reporting will be essential duties to maintain operational efficiency. This position also involves additional responsibilities including training and supporting level I technicians, prioritizing work schedules, and performing basic building maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of experience in general repairs and maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and strong skills in leadership, peer-to-peer technical support, effective communication, and time management. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. This position requires someone who can take ownership of their facility locations and handle stretch assignments effectively, contributing to overall team success.

Working at 7-Eleven means joining an iconic company that values innovation, community engagement, and personal growth. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, a 401k plan for financial security, generous paid time off and holidays, tuition reimbursement, and adoption assistance. There is strong potential for bonuses as the company recognizes and rewards dedicated effort.

In summary, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about maintaining excellent service standards in a dynamic retail environment. It offers a rewarding career path with job stability, robust support, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the convenience industry. Join 7-Eleven and be a key part of shaping the future of convenience retailing across the globe.
