The Porter role at Asset Living is pivotal in supporting the maintenance and operational integrity of the properties under management. The primary responsibility of the Porter is to assist in executing various maintenance processes including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks. Working under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Porter also plays a key role in the make-ready process, ensuring properties meet operational objectives and maintain a welcoming and functional environment for residents.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $22.00, reflecting the individual's skill set, experience, and qualifications. The role demands regular on-site presence to manage cleaning, trash removal, general upkeep of grounds, buildings, breezeways, and both interior and exterior community common areas. Promptly responding to resident and management requests and ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance are also critical components of the job.

Additionally, the Porter conducts daily inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards or liability issues, contributing to a safe and well-maintained property environment. They support preventative maintenance programs aimed at extending the life of community assets while minimizing costly future repairs. The role requires adherence to company policies, safety standards, and OSHA guidelines, maintaining an organized maintenance shop, and actively promoting safe work practices.

Excellent customer service and effective communication are integral to the Porter’s responsibilities, ensuring a positive resident experience and compliance with community rules. The Porter is also expected to participate in emergency on-call duties, unit inspections, and to help enforce community policies as delegated by supervisors.
