The role of Multi-Brand Advisor (MBA) at Ulta Beauty plays a critical part in executing the company’s vision at the store level. The MBA focuses on maximizing sales and cultivating exceptional guest experiences within focused Estee Lauder Companies brands, including MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder, covering product lines such as color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances. This role requires a deep passion for the beauty industry, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the capability to communicate expert product knowledge effectively. By engaging guests personally to understand their individual needs, guiding them in product selection, and facilitating purchases, the MBA helps drive store performance through sales, guest loyalty, and service excellence.
Alongside direct sales responsibilities, the Multi-Brand Advisor maintains the representation and image of Ulta Beauty and its associated brands through operational excellence. This includes maintaining store cleanliness, replenishment of merchandise, and adherence to compliance standards and company policies. The MBA supports store leadership to enhance both performance metrics and the overall guest environment, contributing actively in retail sales, in-store events, and brand promotions. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by applicable state law
- cosmetics artistry experience preferred

Job Duties
- Meet or exceed focused MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder brand sales and clientele goals
- contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty including credit, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales
- build the business by achieving sales targets, using all levers such as product services and data capture to build guest loyalty, recruit new guests, and grow guest return rate
- share the benefits of the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, with guests on the sales floor
- provide a guest-friendly environment with personalized service, including greeting, engaging, offering samples, recommending complementary products or services, and informing guests of current promotions and events
- handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- maintain solid product knowledge of MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder brands and share with guests and team
- perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience
- book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience
- participate in promotions and marketing initiatives
- use clientele system to obtain guest information and follow up to build loyalty
- stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
- maintain prompt and regular attendance
- contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests
- maintain strong relationships with brand partners through training and in-store events
- address and resolve guest concerns following company standards
- collaborate with managers and associates to grow business
- attend education seminars and ongoing training to drive brand sales
