Job Duties

  • deliver internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way
  • exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and supply areas
  • stock liquor, beers, and wines
  • assist bartender with replenishing fruit trays and bar cleanliness
  • check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
  • take beverage orders from serving staff or patrons
  • assist guests with beverage and food selection
  • measure all drinks using specified systems
  • serve wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes
  • mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • deliver beverages to guests promptly
  • comply with Ohio Gaming Commission regulations
  • collect payment for drink orders accurately
  • clean and stock glassware and bar equipment
  • maintain lounge and bar area cleanliness
  • provide responsible alcohol service
  • slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • receive and deliver orders to appropriate venues
  • adhere to health department regulations
  • abide by liquor laws
  • maintain sanitary and safe work areas
  • attend company training programs
  • perform opening and closing duties
  • maintain a neat and clean appearance
  • handle difficult guests professionally
  • follow standard operating procedures
