Job Qualifications
- hs diploma or g.e.d.
- possess general knowledge of preparations of various food items required
- minimum of 1 years' experience as a cook in a professional food establishment
- possess excellent communication verbal skills
- be able to read, understand, and execute recipes correctly
- be highly organized and able to create and monitor work tasks with a group
- required to have or obtain food handlers and alcohol service certifications
Job Duties
- perform pre-opening and on-going back line, hot box, and buffet checks
- work on the line or buffet
- coordinate line or buffet preparation and production
- meet with sous chef daily to review special events and plan prep and production for the day
- perform opening and closing procedures ensuring clean, organized, and safe food handling areas and procedures
- coordinate and perform all pre-shift prep, set-up, restocking of cooler, and properly rotating food items
- perform other duties as assigned
