Job Duties

  • Interacting with guests and staff members professionally and positively
  • assist the bar staff in filling ice wells as well as stocking wells with the necessary amount of liquor bottles
  • ensuring beer bottles, wine, and cordials are stocked
  • refilling and dating mixers, juices, and syrups
  • cut fruit and other garnishes and make sure the bar is set up for success
  • empty bus tubs and prebus the bar top
  • make batch cocktails according to proper recipes as well as understand the batch system to ensure proper changing of canisters
  • arriving for the shift on time and ready to work in proper uniform
  • use juicing machines in a safe, sanitary manner while ensuring pars for the bar are met
  • following directions from management as well as the bartenders
  • all barbacks should have extensive knowledge of the menu and should be able to answer any guest's questions about food or drinks
  • obtain and update any required certifications
  • set up and break down the bar area before and after each shift while cleaning floors, bar top, and wells
  • emptying trash cans and washing dishes using the bar machine
