Based in Aurora, Colorado, Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center integrates the warmth of hospitality with innovative service, creating a memorable atmosphere for both guests and associates alike. As part of Marriott International, employees benefit from a supportive, inclusive workplace culture that embraces diversity and encourages professional growth. The position available is part-time and non-management, located at 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd, Aurora, Colorado. This role offers a wage of $14.70 per hour, with additional training pay of $15.16 per hour during the preparation phase. This hourly role is eligible for tips, further enhancing earning potential.

The role is that of a bartender within the resort's food and beverage department, specifically catering to the needs of guests at the bar. The ideal candidate will be a passionate cocktail expert who stays current with the latest beverage trends and crafts drinks that highlight seasonal ingredients. Creating a welcoming and captivating atmosphere behind the bar is essential. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills to engage guests authentically, offering not just beverages but also friendly conversation and personalized suggestions. Attention to detail in drink preparation, cleanliness, and service is key to ensuring guests can unwind after a busy day in a trusted environment. Beyond the craft, the bartender must also handle opening and serving wine or champagne, managing supplies like ice and glasses, and processing various payment methods accurately. Maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to safety certification requirements are also part of the responsibilities.

This position offers a collaborative and motivating work environment with opportunities to learn and develop professionally. Teamwork is highly valued, supported by management that fosters a positive culture. Employees enjoy several benefits such as discounts on hotel rooms, gifts, food and beverages, wellness programs, and recognition for outstanding work. The role also requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Training and certification in safety protocols will be provided before employment begins, ensuring associates are well-prepared to deliver exceptional service and maintain a safe environment.

Joining Gaylord means becoming part of a global, creative, and dedicated team known as STARs. These team members bring individuality, diverse strengths, and a passion for guest service, helping to create a workplace where every day offers new discoveries and opportunities.
