The current opening is for a Part-Time Bartender position at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $14.70 per hour with tips, and a training pay rate of $15.16 per hour. As a Bartender at Gaylord Hotels, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drink orders according to precise recipes, maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the bar area, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience through attentive and professional service.

Your responsibilities will include measuring and mixing drinks, opening and serving wine and champagne, stocking and replenishing supplies such as ice, glassware, and garnishes, and managing the cash register and payment transactions securely. The role demands attention to detail in maintaining safety and security policies, adhering to company standards for appearance and conduct, and actively promoting a positive team environment.

Bartender duties extend to handling closing procedures, such as balancing the cash bank, completing reporting documentation, and securing inventory and premises. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and handling various tasks that require stamina and dexterity. The position requires compliance with all safety training and certifications, contributing to a safe and welcoming workplace.

Job Duties

  • Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles
  • Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and tools
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
  • Transport supplies to bar set-up area
  • Wash soiled glassware
  • Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
  • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • Process all payment methods
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
  • Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
  • Complete closing duties
  • Follow all company safety and security policies
  • Report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards
  • Anticipate and address guest service needs
