Job Description
FAT Karting League is a revolutionary motorsport organization dedicated to transforming the world of kart racing by prioritizing talent over budget. Established with the goal of democratizing access to motorsport, FAT Karting League offers an inclusive and accessible pathway for aspiring drivers from their very first lap to professional levels such as Formula 4. Supported by FAT International, this innovative league is more than just about race weekends — it is about building a community and a movement that nurtures the next generation of motorsport talent regardless of background. The organization's commitment to fairness is reflected in its unique model where drivers do not need to own a kart or worry about hidden costs; instead, participants simply show up and race, allowing their natural abilities to shine.
As a weekend event crew member for FAT Karting League's 2026 season, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality, high-energy race weekends across various locations in Florida. These roles are designed for fast-paced, hands-on environments where professionalism and passion for motorsport converge. Whether your strengths lie in event operations, customer experience, mechanics, race operations, or driver coaching, your contribution will be vital to maintaining seamless, safe, and enjoyable racing experiences for drivers and spectators alike. This role does not require prior motorsport experience but demands the right proactive attitude and enthusiasm to thrive in a dynamic setting.
FAT Karting League offers multiple positions to accommodate diverse skills and interests within motorsport event support. Event operations personnel manage everything from initial setup to race completions, ensuring smooth logistics and calm problem-solving under pressure. Customer experience team members act as the frontline representatives of the league, engaging with participants and fans with confidence and clarity both in-person and over the phone. Mechanics, whether seasoned or novices, focus on hands-on maintenance and preparation of karts, paying close attention to detail to uphold the highest standards of performance and safety. Race operations staff, including race directors, clerks, marshals, dummy grid attendants, and timekeepers, are responsible for enforcing safe and fair racing conduct, requiring strong awareness and good judgment under competitive conditions. Finally, driver coaches work closely with young drivers to enhance their confidence and skills on the track, bringing passion for motorsport combined with the ability to communicate effectively and supportively with children.
Joining FAT Karting League means becoming part of a forward-thinking organization that challenges traditional motorsport norms and encourages talent development without barriers. You will experience the camaraderie of a dedicated team environment while gaining hands-on exposure to the exciting world of kart racing. Moreover, if you are motivated but feel underqualified, FAT Karting League welcomes your enthusiasm and willingness to learn as part of its commitment to career development in motorsport. While this position requires travel to various racecourses for weekend events, it promises a rewarding opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a pioneering sporting league that values fairness, accessibility, and passion above all.
