Known for its sleek design, world-class hospitality, and exceptional service, it stands as one of the most recognized names in the hospitality industry within the region. With 333 modern guest rooms and over 15,000 square feet of versatile event space, the hotel anchors the vibrant Capitol District, placing it in close proximity to key venues such as the CHI Health Center and Charles Schwab Field, home of the NCAA College World Series. This prime location makes the Omaha Marriott Downtown a hub of energy, style, and opportunity for both guests and employees alike.
As part of The Marcus Corporation's Marcus Hotels & Resorts division, the Omaha Marriott embraces a 60-year history of operational excellence and an unwavering commitment to superior customer experiences. Marcus Hotels & Resorts is known for its dedication not only to guests but also to its associates, fostering a culture where "People Pleasing People" consistently deliver extraordinary service. This corporate backbone supports the hotel's dynamic and inspiring environment, where team members can grow their hospitality careers through various opportunities, including transfers within the company's expanding U.S-based portfolio.
The role of Morning Server at Society 1854, located within the Omaha Marriott Downtown, offers an exciting opportunity for hospitality enthusiasts who seek to contribute to a superior level of guest satisfaction. This role is designed for an individual who takes pride in tailoring the dining experience to each guest, providing food and beverage services with friendliness, courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism. Morning Servers are integral members of the team, ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service that exceeds expectations in a fine dining setting.
Morning Servers are expected to greet guests warmly, explain the day's specials and promotions, and possess a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods. This knowledge enables them to provide detailed explanations to guests and align service delivery with the quality standards of Society 1854. The role also involves accurately recording and inputting guest orders into the Point of Sale system, retrieving and delivering orders with appropriate condiments while adhering strictly to liquor regulations, and replenishing beverages to maintain a seamless dining experience. Additionally, these servers handle payment collection efficiently, thank guests sincerely, and extend invitations for their return visits.
Physical demands of the job include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted occasionally and navigate crowded dining areas to seat guests. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires availability to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with reliable transportation to and from work. The hotel values high standards in guest relations and expects the Morning Server to manage any customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions, reinforcing the hotel's reputation for impeccable service.
Working at the Omaha Marriott Downtown offers numerous perks and benefits to support employees' well-being and career growth. These include a free well-balanced meal each shift, room discounts at Marriott-branded properties and Marcus Hotels & Resorts, dining and activity discounts, free parking, movie theater coupons, and early wage access. Medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, company-paid life insurance, employee assistance programs, and a 401k plan with employer match are also available to eligible employees after a set period of employment.
Overall, the Omaha Marriott Downtown presents an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to build a rewarding career in hospitality, supported by a company that combines tradition, innovation, and a genuine commitment to both guests and associates.
