Job Requirements

  • prior relevant experience as a prep cook or similar role preferred
  • must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs continuously
  • strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently with kitchen equipment
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow direction
  • ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • assist in the preparation of ingredients for dishes including cutting chopping and measuring ingredients
  • follow recipes and directions provided by the head chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and to high quality standards
  • work with other kitchen staff members to ensure that all elements of the meal including sides and sauces are prepared in a timely manner
  • ensure that all food is prepared and presented in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen area including proper storage and labeling of all food items
  • assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment including knives cutting boards and food processors
  • ensure that all food waste is minimized and disposed of properly
