Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a Host/Takeout team member to become an integral part of our front-of-house staff. This role is essential as the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their visit and making sure they feel welcomed and valued. As a Host/Takeout employee, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly upon arrival, managing reservations efficiently, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow within the dining area. Additionally, you will take on the responsibility of answering phone calls professionally, assisting with takeout orders, and addressing inquiries from our valued customers. The role demands an individual who is friendly, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Working in this position involves maintaining organization at the host stand and collaborating closely with kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service and a high level of guest satisfaction. Being the liaison between the guests and other team members, effective communication skills are crucial for this role. We seek a candidate who can confidently manage reservations, handle customer concerns with professionalism, support special requests, and dynamically assist with food service operations as needed. Experience in customer service or hospitality will be advantageous, although thorough training will be provided to the successful candidate.

This is a part-time to full-time opportunity offering a competitive hourly wage ranging from $10.00 to $15.00, commensurate with experience and performance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • Strong communication skills including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus but not required
  • A background in food service or hospitality is advantageous for understanding guest needs and expectations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Friendly and organized with excellent multitasking abilities
