Job Description
Culver's is a well-established restaurant chain known for its commitment to quality food, exceptional customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The company prides itself on fostering a positive workplace environment that promotes growth, learning, and career development opportunities for its team members. With multiple locations nationwide, Culver's continues to expand its reputation for serving delicious meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The restaurant emphasizes community involvement and team collaboration, making it a preferred employer for those seeking a long-term and rewarding career in the food service industry.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Porter to join our team and play a crucial role in preparing the restaurant for daily operations. This is a full-time position with competitive wages, flexible schedules, and comprehensive training provided on the job to ensure success. As a Porter, you will be responsible for both indoor and outdoor duties that are essential to maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively to create an outstanding experience for our guests.
The Porter will work closely with other members of the opening team to ensure the restaurant is ready for service each day, including checking the premises for security issues, maintaining the appearance of the building’s exterior and grounds, and performing scheduled maintenance on restaurant equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and a genuine desire to uphold hospitality standards by providing a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities also include handling food safety protocols such as taking temperatures of delivered food items, proper stock rotation in storage areas using the First In-First Out method, and ensuring all equipment is functioning safely and correctly.
This position is split roughly equally between inside and outside work environments, requiring the Porter to adapt to various conditions including hot, cold, and damp surroundings. The ideal candidate must be physically capable of the demands of the role, which includes lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders up to 25 feet high, and completing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. Dependability, effective communication, and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Working at Culver's offers numerous benefits beyond competitive pay. We provide free uniforms including shirts and hats, meal discounts, paid time off, opportunities to contribute in a positive team atmosphere, and eligibility for insurance benefits and 401k plans. If you are looking for a rewarding job where you can grow professionally while contributing to a team-oriented culture, Culver's Porter position is an excellent opportunity to start or continue your career in the restaurant industry.
