Job Description

The Hilton Milwaukee is a premier hotel located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, recognized as the largest hotel in the city and a historic landmark with a rich legacy since its establishment in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel. It has recently undergone a remarkable $40 million renovation that transformed its guest rooms, event spaces, and grand lobby into stunning examples of modern elegance. Connected to the expanded Baird Center, the Hilton offers 554 beautifully appointed guest rooms and over 34,000 square feet of flexible meeting and convention space, solidifying its reputation as Milwaukee's top destination for meetings, conventions, and luxury accommodations. As part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation with more than 60 years of experience in hospitality excellence, the Hilton Milwaukee is committed to providing innovative, exceptional service delivered in a warm and timeless style. This commitment positions the hotel as a leader in hospitality within the region and a desirable workplace for careers in the industry.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Monarch Lounge Lead Bartender to join our vibrant team. This full-time, hourly position with a pay rate of $19.03 per hour offers the opportunity to work a second shift in a dynamic, guest-oriented environment. The Lead Bartender is crucial in delivering a high-quality guest experience, responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere in the Monarch Lounge. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of cocktails, beers, tap selections, and premium brands, ensuring every guest receives attentive and personalized beverage service. Your role will include greeting guests warmly, confidently explaining drink specials and promotions, and efficiently taking and processing orders. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lounge, handling cash operations responsibly, and supporting fellow team members are essential duties. The position also requires adherence to all state, federal, and corporate liquor laws and safety standards, contributing to a safe and compliant workplace.

Joining the Hilton Milwaukee means becoming part of a team that values hospitality professionals who are passionate, team-oriented, and capable of thriving in both fast-paced and relaxed settings. The role offers career growth potential within the expansive Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, enabling transfers between properties while maintaining continuous service. Additional benefits include a complimentary well-balanced meal every shift, room discounts at Marcus Hotels and Hilton properties, discounts on dining, recreation, and spa services, free parking, and early wage access. Healthcare benefits, paid time off, company-paid life insurance, and 401k plans with employer matching also support employees' well-being and financial security. The Hilton Milwaukee embraces diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, inviting passionate hospitality professionals to join and shape the future of this iconic property.
