Job Description
Datwyler is a leading high-tech company specializing in the production of high-quality, system-critical elastomer components that contribute significantly to the safety of patients and drivers worldwide. With a strong presence in attractive global markets, including healthcare, mobility, connectivity, general industry, and food and beverage, Datwyler operates over 25 production sites across four continents and serves customers in more than 100 countries. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company boasts a workforce of over 8,000 employees and generates annual sales exceeding CHF 1,000 million. At Datwyler, employees are valued as the heart of the organization, where respect, trust, and appreciation are deeply ingrained in the company culture. Rooted in a rich 100-year corporate history, Datwyler fosters a work environment that promotes diversity, career development, and innovation, making it an ideal workplace for motivated and talented individuals.
The role of Molding Inspector at Datwyler is a vital position that ensures the quality and safety of the company’s injection-molded, custom-molded, and compression-molded parts. These components are crucial in applications ranging from medical devices such as syringes to automotive parts found in every second car worldwide. As a Molding Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and measuring parts to verify conformance with dimensional and visual quality standards immediately after the molding operation. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining Datwyler’s reputation for delivering high-quality elastomer components.
This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, digital thermometers, and thickness gauges. You will also issue tooling repair orders when necessary and ensure compliance with safety regulations throughout the inspection process. The position demands familiarity with both English and metric measuring systems and the ability to read technical drawings accurately. Physical requirements include the ability to work in varying temperature conditions and perform tasks requiring digital dexterity and excellent close vision.
The Molding Inspector role requires at least one year of experience in manufacturing or inspection, a high school diploma or equivalent, and competency in using computers. Additionally, due to the nature of the work involving sensitive information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR regulations. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19 to $21, along with vacation and flexible time off, a matching 5% 401K with Roth option, comprehensive medical, dental, vision and other auxiliary benefits, company-paid life insurance, optional voluntary life insurance, development training opportunities, and paid holidays.
At Datwyler, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, contribute creatively, and develop your career within a global and diverse environment. The company’s commitment to agility, digitalization, and sustainability creates an inspiring workplace where your ideas and efforts can make a meaningful impact. Join Datwyler and be part of a company that is dedicated to innovation, quality, and the continuous growth of its people.
