Treasure Island Hotel and Casino is a renowned hospitality and entertainment establishment located in the heart of Las Vegas. Known for its vibrant atmosphere, luxurious accommodations, and a wide range of dining and entertainment options, Treasure Island has established itself as a premier destination for visitors seeking both excitement and comfort. The hotel features an expansive Sports Bar that serves as a popular gathering spot for guests and locals alike, offering a lively environment to enjoy a variety of food and beverage selections alongside sports entertainment. The establishment prides itself on delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards across all departments, including its bar and restaurant services.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and personable candidates to join our Sports Bar team as Cocktail Servers. This role is integral to the guest experience, requiring individuals who are not only knowledgeable about food and beverage offerings but also excel at creating a welcoming and positive environment for our patrons. The Cocktail Server will greet guests promptly and with a friendly demeanor, ensuring that each customer receives attentive and efficient service. Responsibilities include serving food and beverages across the Sports Bar in alignment with our carefully designed sequence of service standards, which are set by management to maintain consistent quality.

A thorough understanding of all products served, including cocktails and alcoholic beverages, is essential for this position. Employees must also comply with all applicable alcohol service regulations, including verifying the age of guests appearing under 30 and following state-mandated responsible alcohol serving protocols. Handling monetary transactions accurately at the point of sale system is a critical component of this job, where staff will manage cash, credit cards, and room charges while adhering to department policies.

Maintaining cleanliness and order in the Sports Bar area is another key responsibility. This includes disposal of trash, clearing dishware, glassware, and silverware, and ensuring the workspace is hygienic and well-stocked for successive shifts. Communication skills are vital, as Cocktail Servers must convey guest requests and any issues promptly to colleagues and management, ensuring seamless service and customer satisfaction.

Cocktail Servers are expected to present a professional appearance and maintain a positive attitude that reflects Treasure Island's commitment to excellence. This includes keeping an alert and approachable posture while interacting with guests, providing personalized service that matches guests’ needs, and fostering a friendly, relaxed atmosphere to enhance the overall experience. Physical endurance is required, as the role involves standing and moving quickly for extended periods, often up to eight hours or longer during shifts.

In addition to routine duties, these servers may participate in training new employees, assist with special events, and support promotional activities such as publicity shoots and public appearances as needed. The ideal candidate will have previous cocktail experience, preferably within a high-volume hotel, bar, or restaurant environment, and demonstrate the flexibility and enthusiasm to contribute to the department’s success continually.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • a minimum of 1 year previous cocktail experience required
  • good athletic physical condition/body strength necessary
  • must project a slender, toned/fit body image at all times
  • must be able to read, write and speak English
  • must have basic beverage and beverage serving knowledge
  • must have an excellent upbeat attitude with the ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds
  • must be available for publicity shoots, public appearances, modeling, other advertising, and promotional work as needed

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in a timely, positive and friendly manner
  • provide exceptional service to customers while maintaining high standards of service
  • efficiently serve food and beverage in all areas of the Sports Bar, following the sequence of service standards set forth by management
  • possess complete food and beverage knowledge of all products served
  • check IDs if the guest appears to be under 30
  • follow alcohol awareness techniques as needed
  • adhere to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state
  • handle monetary transactions at the point of sales system (cash, credit cards and room charges) in accordance with department policies and procedures
  • keep Sports Bar neat and orderly by disposing of trash and removing glassware, dishware and silverware no longer in use
  • communicate with fellow employees and managers regarding guest requests
  • consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting in a professional manner
  • possess a positive attitude towards the guest and fellow employees to meet and exceed TI Sports Bar standards
  • know all aspects of our business and match it to the guest's needs to exceed their expectations
  • make positive eye contact with the guest
  • maintain alert posture, appearing approachable to guests
  • maintain utmost respect and courtesy for guests at all times
  • maintain professional and well groomed appearance, posture and hygiene
  • maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and ensure the health and safety of our guests and fellow employees at all times
  • maintain a clean and hygienic work station in accordance with Clark County Health Standards
  • possess the ability to work in a team environment
  • maintain flexibility to perform other job related tasks as deemed necessary by management
  • work station must be maintained and left stocked in the proper location and cleaned for next shift
  • be able to perform a task that requires standing and or moving at a fast pace for periods of up to eight hours or longer
  • communicate with management to keep them informed of all special requests from a guest as well as any potential problems or concerns
  • assist new employees with training and answering questions
  • perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
  • maintain quality service standards with all guests by creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere while coordinating all service requests
  • deliver food and beverage orders to guests in a timely manner
  • fulfill guest requests in a timely manner and assist guests with special requests
  • work special events as needed for successful operation of department
