The role of Beverage Server at PENN Entertainment is an exciting part-time position ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments. As a Beverage Server, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the guests’ experience by providing personalized, friendly, and efficient service. This role involves delivering beverages promptly, maintaining a clean and well-stocked workstation, and acting as an ambassador of goodwill by promoting casino events and programs. The Beverage Server will interact closely with a diverse team including bartenders, barbacks, supervisors, and slots staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a sometimes noisy and crowded atmosphere. The role demands physical endurance, including the ability to carry full trays weighing up to 20 pounds for extended periods and the ability to respond quickly to guest needs and cues. Job Requirements

must be 21 years of age
high school diploma or equivalent
read, write legibly, understand and speak English
excellent customer service and communication skills
count money and change correctly
know or is able to learn tray service, cocktail ingredients
available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
must be able to lift and carry 20 lbs. (full cocktail tray) for extended periods of time
able to tolerate noise and bright lights
able to work at a fast pace in often crowded and noisy environment
physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces

Job Duties

providing personalized service and use guest name
resolving service problems according to guidelines
serving as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions
promoting casino events and programs
providing fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests
monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
taking drink orders, communicating with bartender, assisting in the preparation of drinks and presenting drinks to guests
providing service of complimentary beverages including coffee and water
handling money according to procedure
working well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor
maintaining clean and stocked workstation
